Outdoor Activities
Take a dip in the town's public pool. Swim and picnic in a local lake. Horseback riding? Hiking? Bicycling? Golf? Canoeing and kayaking? It's all a short walk or drive.
Labeled "Grand site of Aquitaine", the castle of Biron is the seat of one of the four baronies of Périgord. It's a 20 minutes' drive from Monflanquin, just past Gavaudun.

The Château de Gavaudun was built on a rocky spur and overhangs the river Lède. Built on a giant rock, and just 15 minutes from Monflanquin.

Fresh bread. Croissants. Pastries. We're very fond of the Monflanquin traditional pain, as well as the apple tarts and cream puffs. Just a 10 minute walk down the hill!

Dominating the town's skyline, the church is gothic, first built around 1260, but its present form dates from 1733. Inside it is quite grand, with beautiful stained glass windows.
